Team Tether is a team app for youth sports. Coaches run the schedule, roster, dues and team feed from their phone or the web; parents see every practice, game and payment for each of their kids in one place. It works for teams, skills programs and 1-on-1 coaching.

Yes. The Free plan covers one team with up to 30 athletes, one skills program, the schedule, join codes, dues and card payments, the team feed, documents, chat links, 1-on-1 sessions, unlimited assistant coaches and the play editor. Coach and Coach Pro add more teams and athletes, RSVPs, attendance, volunteer sign-ups, custom roles and permissions for your staff, more saved plays, play exports, and a smaller share taken from card payments.

Not for Team Tether itself. The only money a parent sends is the dues and fees their coach sets — by card in the app, or however the coach asks to be paid. If the coach passes the card-processing fee on, it appears at checkout as its own service fee line, and the Pay button always shows the price the coach set.

The coach shares a join code, link or QR code. A parent opens the app, enters the code and adds their child. Coaches can leave joining open, require a password, or approve each request.

Never. A child in Team Tether is a record that their parent or guardian manages. Children have no login, no password and no messages. Team Tether is for adults, 18 and over.

Yes. Add a co-parent, grandparent or any guardian to a child and they see the same schedule, RSVP for the same child and get the same reminders. Several children across several teams sit under one account.

Yes. Connect a payout account and families pay by card in the app, or switch on auto-pay for monthly dues; the money is paid out to your bank. Set dues up front or monthly, add deposits, late fees and payment requests, and give any player their own plan. Paid in cash, by check, Venmo or Zelle? Mark it paid by hand and the family gets a receipt.

Team Tether keeps a small share of each card payment, and the share is smaller on paid plans. Card processing is separate, and you choose whether to cover it yourself or add it at checkout. The exact numbers are shown in the app before you switch payments on. Payments you mark by hand cost nothing.

Any. Team Tether grew up around basketball — the first teams were basketball teams, AAU programs and clinics, and the play designer is for basketball teams. Everything else works for every sport: baseball and softball, football, soccer, volleyball, hockey, lacrosse, swim, track. The schedule, roster, dues and feed don't care what ball you use.

Yes. A coach can run several teams and programs under one account and one subscription, and every team has unlimited assistant coaches with their own roles. A plan for clubs and academies that pay for many coaches at once is next on our list — tell us what you run and we will work out a fit.

Yes, and there is no limit on how many, on any plan. Every plan has four ready-made jobs — Assistant coach, Team manager, Equipment manager and Volunteer. On Coach and Coach Pro you can also build roles like Scheduler or Treasurer and grant only what each needs — schedule, roster, dues, announcements, documents or the playbook.

Yes. The website has full coach and parent dashboards. The phone app and the website share one account and stay in sync.

Yes. Cancel from Settings → Plan & billing in the app, or from your plan on the website, whenever you like. You keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for. Nothing is deleted if you downgrade — teams, athletes and plays all stay; you just can't add past the smaller plan's limits, and plays over the limit become read-only.

No — it is the playbook inside Team Tether, on every basketball team. Draw plays with your finger, watch them animate and save them to the team playbook; Coach and Coach Pro add PDF and video exports. There is nothing extra to download.
